How do I book a shoot?
Simply complete a CONTACT ME form and I shall be in touch. I aim to reply to emails within 24 hours. A shoot will not be confirmed until a deposit of £40 has been paid - an email will be sent to confirm your booking once payment is received.
How much is a shoot?
Prices can be found here, along with details of when payment is due. The non-refundable deposit is required to secure a session.
How long does a shoot last?
It depends which shoot you book - but most vary from 30 minutes to 1.5hrs. You can find out more information on each individual session here.
Where will my shoot take place?
I have a small 'studio' set up within my home, in Poole, Dorset. There are also many beautiful outdoor locations in the Poole/Bournemouth area.
What if I can't make a shoot that has been booked?
If you need to reschedule, please contact me at least 48 hours before your shoot and we can rearrange your booking at no extra charge. Unfortunately if you cancel with less than 48hrs notice, your deposit will be lost and you will need to pay a further deposit to book another session.
What if it's raining at the time of my outdoor shoot?
Please do not worry, we can reschedule. I always touch base the day before, and also on the day if the weather is changeable. If the weather is awful, we can simply reschedule at no extra cost.
Maternity sessions - what do I need to know?
The best time for your shoot is between 30 - 36 weeks. A questionnaire will be sent to you on booking, so that I can find out more about the style of shoot you would like. I have a couple of wraps, maternity gowns/drapes that you can use, but it is also a good idea to bring a small selection of clothes - details will be sent to you when you book. FInd out more here.
Newborn shoots - what do I need to know?
It is best to book a provisional date when you are still pregnant - ideally after your 20 week scan. I will book a date around your due date, which can be moved once your baby arrives if you deliver early or late. If you have already had your baby and would like to book a shoot, please feel free to contact me to see if I can fit you in. Ideally your newborn shoot is best done when baby is between 5 - 21 days old. Further details to prepare baby for the shoot and a questionnaire will be sent to you on booking to gain further information from you for your shoot.
All props, outfits and blankets will be provided for your newborn shoot, but am happy to include any special items you would like in your images. Siblings and parent shots are also included in your session if you wish (apart from a mini newborn session)
My priority at a newborn shoot is the safety and wellbeing of your baby. I will not attempt a pose if the baby is not happy. Also if the baby will not settle and is getting stressed I will offer one rescheduled session at no extra cost.
Baby shoots - when is the best time to have these done?
At around 4 months - this is a lovely time to capture your baby as their character begins to develop. Baby will be holding its head by now and be very alert, so we can capture different poses to the newborn shoot.
6-8 months - a sitter session is a lovely way to capture your baby, who will now be sitting unaided but is not yet able to walk or crawl.
12 months - a cake smash & splash or just a fun portrait shoot is lovely way to mark their first birthday.
When will my images be ready after my shoot?
Approx 2 weeks after your shoot, you will be able to return to view your edited images on a large screen, or alternatively I can send a link to a password protected online gallery (due to their nature, the images on the online gallery will be watermarked) If it is likely to be longer, due to holiday/busy periods etc, you will be informed at your shoot of the approximate date your images will be ready.
